Today I slept in until 11:15 AM. It was much needed since I did not get to bed until 2 AM last night. I went to a friend's house for fondue (cheese AND chocolate) and then we went out dancing for a couple of hours. Surprisingly, I wasn't sore at all from yesterday's long run, which is a big improvement compared to how I felt after last week's 14 miler. I had so much fun dancing, and I wasn't even wearing compression pants or socks under my real clothes!

I went for a foggy afternoon 6 miler today. My legs felt a little heavy from yesterday's trail run, but overall I felt pretty good about my pace.

After the run, I had a Bell's Winter White Ale while I took down Christmas and Hanukkah decorations. This wheat ale was a light, refreshing change from the hoppier, heavier brews I've been drinking lately. Bell's is one of my favorite breweries, and this one didn't let me down.

For dinner tonight, Josh made a chili with the brisket we had for dinner on Friday. It was deliciously spicy, and the brisket was still tender and juicy. The Bell's ale was a perfect balance to the fiery dish.
Tomorrow is a much needed rest day for my legs. Maybe I'll get around to this "stretching" thing everyone talks about.
